CVD Group is the corporate name for CVD Group Inc. and any affiliated companies. In this Policy, we refer to CVD Group Inc. as “CVD”, “our”, “us” or “we.” This Privacy Policy is to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of information relating to or originating from individual users of the CVD website and services. This information may include personal information relating to or originating from you and information that you may supply to us that may originate from others in connection with your use of the services offered by CVD (herein called “Services”) and/or access to or use of one or more websites operated by us or on our behalf (herein called “Website”). If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us (see “Contact us” below).

This Policy may be modified from time to time in our discretion. Notification of modifications consists of posting a new or modified Policy on our Website. This Policy, including any modifications, governs any information that is been submitted to CVD regardless when such information is submitted to us. By agreeing to the Terms of Agreement of CVD, you agree to terms of this Policy and any modifications thereto.

The term “you” as used herein refers to any individual user of the Website and Service, including registered and unregistered users. The term “you”, and this privacy policy” does not apply to any user who is a business, corporation, organization or other user who is not an individual person except as specified herein.

Collecting Information from you

Information You Provide. When you register an account or disclose any information through the submission of any form, we ask you for certain information that can be used to contact and/or identify you, as well as additional information about you (herein called “Personal Information”). Personal Information includes but may not be limited to your name, email address, home or business address, profile photo, and website domain name address. If you are a business or other commercial user, we may ask you for additional information such as your business identification number, if any, and personal information relating to individuals employed by your business, for example as a contact person or principal. You may also provide us with email addresses of non-registered users of CVD when sharing information with them.

Log Data. When you use the Services or visit the Website, whether as a Registered User or a Non-Registered User, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website (herein called “Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as the browser type, Internet Protocol (“IP Address”), the webpage visited prior to visiting our Services, any pages of our Service that you visit, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our Services, access times and dates, metadata concerning the files you upload, and other statistics.

Cookies. We may use data files known as “cookies” in association with our Services and Website. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computing device. Business Transfers. CVD may sell, divest, transfer, assign, share or otherwise engage in a transaction that involves, some or all of our assets, including any or all of the information described in this Policy, in the course of a corporate divestiture, merger, acquisition, joint venture, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, or any other similar transaction or proceeding.

Links to other sites and services. Our Services contain links to other third-party websites and online services that are not owned or controlled by CVD. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. If you choose to visit another website or online service by clicking on a link, you will be directed to that third party’s website or online service. The fact that we may link to a website or online service is not an endorsement, authorization or representation of our affiliation with that third party, nor is it an endorsement of their privacy or information security policies or practices. We do not exercise control over third party websites and online services, and these third parties may place their own cookies or other files on your computer and collect data or solicit personal information from you. Other sites and online services follow different rules regarding the collection, use and/or disclosure of personal information. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy policies or statements of the other websites or online services you visit before providing any information or using such websites or services. This privacy statement applies only to information collected by us.

Data Retention. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you wish to request that we no longer use your Personal Information to provide you services, you may contact us at info@hillsidetowns.ca. Unless you specifically request us to delete your information, we may retain your information indefinitely. If you request that we delete your information, we may retain a limited amount of your information to the extent that we deem to be necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Consistent with these requirements, we will try to delete your information as quickly as possible upon request. Please note, however, that there might be latency in deleting information from our servers and backed-up versions might exist for a period of time after deletion. In addition, we may not delete from our servers files containing non-personal information.

We use commercially reasonable security standards to protect the information collected and maintained through the Service. However, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us nor guarantee that information on the Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by unauthorized persons.

International Transfer. Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside Canada and choose to provide information to us, we transfer Personal Information to Canada and processes it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Information from or about children. This Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from or pertaining to children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian of a child and you become aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, or that any other person has provided Personal Information pertaining to your child to us, you should immediately contact us at info@hillsidetowns.ca. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, or that such information has been provided to us without your consent, we will delete such information from our files.

Send-To-A-Friend/ Share. If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. Your friend may contact us at info@hillsidetowns.ca to request that we remove this information from our database.

Information that you make publicly accessible on our Website. If you post a question, answer or blog on this Website, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit in this fashion can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums. Professionals may add testimonials to their own profiles on the Website and they are responsible for obtaining consent to publish any personal information of those persons identified in any such testimonial. We post customer testimonials/comments/reviews on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information. We do obtain the customer’s consent via email prior to posting their name or other personal information along with their testimonial. If you want to remove your personal information that is being displayed on our website under public pages, please contact us at info@hillsidetowns.ca.

Commercial Information. This privacy policy applies only to Personal Information. It does not apply to information that is of a commercial nature or that is otherwise not specifically related to or pertinent to an individual.
